Love's Labour's Lost - Summer Shakespeare Tour 2019

'Love's Labour's Lost' is one of Shakespeare's lesser known, but most charming plays. This hilarious comedy explores the classic trope of the forbidden fruit being the sweetest, as men and women meet and fall in love, despite their better judgement. King Ferdinand of Navarre and his friends vow to devote themselves to scholarly learning for three years. They forswear women for this period in order to keep their minds solely focused on learning. Unfortunately for them, they have forgotten that the Princess of France and her ladies are scheduled to visit on diplomatic business - when boys meet girls, romantic chaos ensues as their vows are tested.

Castle Theatre Company's annual summer Shakespeare returns for 2019 with 'Love's Labour's Lost'! With brand new UK venues, this tour promises to be one of our most exciting yet!

'Love's Labour's Lost' will tour Durham and the North-East in June, before embarking on the annual South of England tour in July. This year we're coming to even more venues around the South of England, as well as our old favourites.

For over 30 years Castle Theatre Company has produced classical Shakespeare performances in stunning historical venues across the south of England and the USA. Renowned for its high-standard, Castle Theatre Company promises an afternoon of light-hearted family entertainment.

Tickets for our Durham dates are on sale now!
